December 17, 2004 by Jane

I stayed home sick this morning. Have had a sore throat and general fatigue for a couple days now, and today was a good day to take off.

I finally put on clothes at 3:30 and went three blocks away to the post office to mail all the xmas packages. So that’s done. Wheeeew.

Last night was so rad. Brian and I went to Nick’s house way up on the hill for dinner with him and Yuri and Nick’s temp houseguest Stephen, who just moved here. I had known Stephen from the interweb but we had never met in person. He’s a professional chef and as we got to talking wedding stuff he expressed interest in being our dessert man, so now he is! I am so stoked. It’s going to be so fabulous and over the top, and not a wedding cake in sight. In return he will get a website built by me. Yar.

Before and after a dinner of Indian takeout, we watched this completely insane Japanese TV show called “Monkey” which apparently aired in the late 1970s. Production values to rival “The Land of the Lost.” It was hilarious. Half the fun is the hammy dialogue dubbing by a bunch of British people.

Ok need to get my back out of this chair and go make rice.
