It was the shortest day of the year, and now I am smiling because the days will only get longer and spring is now approaching.
I am humidifying my house by filling the tub with water and simmering water and mint leaves in a pot on the stove.
Brian is playing with the feather toy and the kitties. The object is to exhaust them before bedtime. If Sasha continues keeping us up with his grooming, I won’t hesistate to expel him from the bedroom. So we are trying to avoid this by making him very tired and not letting him nap all evening.
I made so many gingersnap cookies.
I’m officially sick. This happens like clockwork every christmas. Really. For the past seven years at least.
The pool is closed for the next seven days, which doesn’t matter much since I’m sick anyway. I’m sure I can still go hang out in the sauna though. My nasal passages are dry as a bone.
Time to go read in bed.

You must have infected me across the internet waves 😉 I think I’m getting sick too…but its hard to tell since I am having such horrible allergy problems even tho I’m on medicine. Bleh! Hope you feel better soooooon!
Officially sick
Maybe it’s hereditary, I’ve had a cold for the last three Christmas’ too. Very annoying when you sing soprano in the choir on Christmas Eve.
Finally got Z-Pak, Tessalin, Advair, and otc Mucinex (expectorant, time release). I pray I won’t lose my voice like I did on Thursday. Ended up singing in tenor range (not good!). Love, Mom
