Brian bought me an easel for our anniversary, as well as a half-dozen canvases to paint upon. He really is the best. And I got him just what he wanted: cartoons!! That is: Season one of the series “Home Movies” from the Cartoon Network, as well as seasons 1 & 2 of Pee Wee’s Playhouse AND the Pee Wee’s Playhouse xmas special from 1988.
We went to dinner at Masala and then to Canvas Cafe for hot beverages. We did this on our anniversary last year, too. And we did those two things on our first date two years ago, so it’s a nice tradition. I love the Indian food at Masala and I also had a very smooth glass of pinot noir. Mmmm.
My eyes are so dried out right now at work. Having a boring day… want to go to the pool but might not be up for it. Tonight I’m making lemon bars for a holiday party we’re having at work tomorrow.
I also really need to get cracking on getting the wedding invitations materials shipped out to New York so Rena can start printing them. After she prints, she gets to ship them back to me, and then Brian and I will put them all together. I need to buy some strong but pretty thread…
Excited to start a painting on Saturday. I look forward to the practice. I think my subjects will mainly be all the cool-looking photos I shot on Mackinac Island, Michigan. Disposable cameras produce some very striking images when you give them enough light.
