+ Yesterday I made a batch of Meyer lemon sugar cookies, cut into star shapes. They came out perfect: crispy outside and chewy inside. I put them in a ziploc bag and then forgot to take any to work with me. Since I’m not keen on eating two dozen cookies myself, I usually bring my baked goods to work or otherwise give most of them away. Mmmm.
+ My favorite ice cream is vanilla bean. With the wee black specks. Then I add fresh berries. Yar.
+ Tamara sent me the recipe for the bean thing she served us last month at her house. I’m all becited to make it. I just need to buy shallots, bread crumbs, and fresh marjoram.
+ Lunch today will be brown rice with chopped chicken breast and some vegetables. All healthy and shit. I am thinking of taking a Pilates class at 1:00 if I can manage getting out of work at that time (considered a late lunch hour). If not I might go for another long walk after work. Or to the gym with Brian.
+ I want to have people over to our place for dinner soon so I have another excuse to make that chicken satay dish again. Maybe Pablo and Lisa can come over Wednesday night.
+ Now that I have a reasonably equipped kitchen, I want to try a new and exciting meal at least once a week. Luckily I have the best cookbook in the world, The Joy of Cooking. Last night I made broiled Tilapia fish. It was awesome.
