I was going to make the bean thing tonight but the guy at Golden Produce neglected to ring up or bag my two wee shallots. No shallots, no bean thing. Or as Stephen calls it, fagioli toscanini.

The good news, that almost made up for the checker incompetence, was that Golden Produce is once again carrying my favorite tortilla chips ever, after a long and unexplained absence from their shelves. Marra Bros corn tortilla chips with NO SALT, $1.99. Now I know that no salt chips may not be everyone’s favorite, but they sure are mine.

The other food thing I wanted to post is that the next cookies I am making are the seven-spice oatmeal cookies. The ones which call for cayenne pepper and ginger. They are delightful.

Brian and I are having a nice evening. We went to the Y after work, then came home and had emergency dinner of frozen fish fillets and tater tots. I KNOW WHAT’S THE POINT OF WORKING OUT THEN. But they were small portions. Then we watched a Coldplay show on TV (new CD out tomorrow) and ate some bing cherries.

Right now I am ripping some mix CDs. You see, our pals in thee Midwest (the action squad, if you will) each made mix CDs for the summer and traded them around. So we got 4 CDs in the mail in the past week. YAY! We already made ours, kinda, since our wedding favor was a mix CD. But it’s so rad to get all this new music to listen to. So far I am loving the Louis XIV and Spoon and the Go! Team song. Maybe because they work so well on the commute? It’s fun to rock out secret-like.
