+ A reminder about Russell & Hazel, one of my most favorite office supply/paper companies ever. I bought their slim binder and dividers to use as my wedding organizer and it was outstanding. I could spend SO much money on that site. And I just found out that a couple stores in the city sell their products. Ruh roh!

+ So Eric Byrnes got traded to the dreadful Colorado Rockies. In the past I might have been sadder about this trade, except that I recently saw Byrnes on television saying that his favorite TV program is “FOX News.” Yeah, have fun in last place, “Byrnsie.”

+ My cutehead co-worker Michelle went to the Kate Spade sale yesterday and got a black leather bowler bag and a pink wallet for 30% off. Adorable! I could not indulge however since I just got a kickass wallet that matches the wristlet I carry around in my Coach bag. I am not obsessed! I’m a collector. Also I am not terribly fond of many Kate Spade bags at all.

+ Pilates is awesome and I am committed to attending the Wednesday class at my gym every week. The good thing about going to a class is that you usually do a different routine each time. Those DVDs I have can get extremely repetitive.

+ Weekend is shaping up… Saturday night we’re having dinner at this Middle Eastern place in my old neighborhood to celebrate Brian’s birthday with friends. We also need to go to Target at some point. Sunday is the AIDS Walk, which I told Olivia I would do with her. I will try to do as much as I can, and see how my knees and back feel. I was able to finish it last year, and remember having some pain.

+ Last night I avoided watching TV all the way up until about 9:30. I got quite a bit done and felt like hmm maybe I do watch too much tv. I ended up watching an episode of “Sex and the City” that I hadn’t seen before around 10pm because I wanted to lay on the sofa with my heating pad. It’s a good thing people always mistake me for 25, because I feel like an old lady lately, with the bad back and the glayvin.

+ To do lists are immeasureably helpful to me.

+ I love the air and the light around 8:30 in the morning on a warm summer day. So fresh.

+ Today I am wearing my favorite buttoned-up shirt. Crisp, soft cotton, perfect fit, baby blue with white vertical stripes, and well-sewn so it doesn’t curl up at the hem like my other buttoned-up shirts often do. I think I have had this thing for three years or so. One of the few gems from Banana Republic that actually suits my body. I am also wearing a totally hot new bra which husband has not yet seen due to the late workie dammit.

It is true! We will be in Chicago. Why did you move away?

We considered Portland briefly last year as a place to move, but were too unsure of the job market, and also the fact that we don’t know a single soul there.

I moved away because I’ve never been anywhere but Chicagoland, and because it’s just really pretty here in Portland. Cheaper, too. Much, much cheaper.

        (nice choice of icon, btw)

I didn’t have to worry about jobs as much because I teach online so the work goes with me wherever I am. Pardon me if it seems I am just catching up (I just moved!), but are you going to go somewhere else, or are you staying in San Francisco?

Also, I don’t know of any city where anyone has ever said “oh, the job market is awesome.” So I mainly ignored most of that kind of sentiment. šŸ™‚

I have friends who do techy-type stuff here in Portland, so if you ever reconsider, let me know and maybe they can point you in a few directions.

i’ve seen infomercials from Winsor Pilates that I think talk about getting a new routine every so many months or so. Check it out, Mom
