Work is boring right now. I have a couple of projects that I have started and that look good code-wise, but due to technical issues beyond my control, they cannot be completed until Friday. This is because the data tool into which the code will be imported is “locked” until that day. Moreover, our commerce website is closing tomorrow for two days for our Giant ReLaunch Extravaganza.
So. That leaves me with little to do but spot fake Louis Vuittons on eBay. Haha. I’m kiddin — that in and of itself is a full-time job, since 95% of the LVs on eBay are fakes. Bad fakes, at that.
It’s sunny outside and I want to go run around.
In one week we will be in Chicago on vacation!! Holy cow. Have to start making plans, aside from the Sox-Tigers game and so on. I think I want to take Brian to a fondue restaurant. Should I get a travel guide to tell me where to look for cool used bookstores and places to drink coffee and so on? Or should I just count on the advice of my Chicagoan friends? I think the latter.
It’s our four-monthsaversary! Cheers, husband.

Jesse and I know a lot of good bookstores and cafes. I think we are gonna get a room down there on the night of the 2nd and or 3rd. What neighborhood will you be staying in?
Awesome! We are going to have so much fun. Our hotel is the Seneca, which is right downtown. But we’ll only be there through the 1st — after that we’ll be staying with pals on the northside, but I’m sure we’ll be all over the city during the daytime.
I was in Chicago several times for the dental hygiene convention, stayed at the Palmer House, which is kind of like the old Olympic Hotel, there were several good restaurant’s near the hotel and I know at least one great pizza place, also Marshall Field wasn’t far (like Frederick and Nelson)
I don’t know nothin’ about no coffee, but I can hip you to the good bookstores.
