Texas oil tycoon pays out of pocket for over 1,000 animals rescued from New Orleans to be airlifted to the SF Bay Area.

The people who lost their homes and families need help, the pets who lost their homes and humans need help; they all need help, and every bit counts. I hope all these little buddies get adopted, or even find their owners somehow, if they have the id chips like my Sasha has.

“In addition to funding the airlift, the Pickenses have also given money to help human relief efforts. Pickens and employees at his oil company, BP Capital, recently pledged $5 million to the American Red Cross.”
