So I bought some gorgeous shoes at the Nordstrom Rack a couple weeks ago.

They are suede kitten heels with some patent leather stripes. They are by Marc Jacobs and retailed for $350, but I snagged them for $80. I really love them but there is one problem: they are a few millimeters too small for me in the toe. They are size 5.5 and I think my true size is like a 5.8 or something.
Anyway, I know that shoe repair shops and the like can stretch shoes and otherwise “make” them fit. Any advice or experience on this appreciated. I totally want to wear these bitches!
In other news, I finally downloaded the two Kanye West albums last night and of course think they are just super. I tivo’d the Ellen show yesterday not even knowing he was on (season pass). It was a pretty awesome performance, especially watching all the middle-aged white tourists in the audience getting their groove on. I wonder how many of them actually came to see Jeff Foxworthy? Great guest casting, there.

oh my… i loooove those. jane, do you think i should make the investment on the shoes/and or coat i posted??? i mean, you are a san fran expert…
I like the coat, having a warm overcoat is definitely a classic and you should get one that will last. Actually I am in the market for a new one since my old one is 4 years old now and is getting raggedy under the warms — the wool is really pilling up, pfft. I like these two coats from Banana Republic:
As to the shoes, they are a bit pricey for flats… did you try them on yet? Maybe they will go on markdown and you can get a little break on them. Do you wear a very common shoe size?
i wear size 10 and i really like those coats too!
have you thought about shoe trees? those wood thingamagigs? maybe that will stretch them out a bit…like you wearing them around without the pain part.
Oh good idea! Who sells those things though? hm.

Awesome! It’s much cuter than the plain tan one, IMO.
I’m terrible and have a couple of new purses, but am also a good girl and am selling two to make room. I got a dark green medium Bulga hobo in Chicago, and just got a dark gold Ellen Tracy frame doctor’s satchel, of which no photos exist online. I should really just take pics of my collection. For posterity.
2 more! and i thought i was bad…i also got one of those little twill wristlets and a key-chain from janine (the girl you met at the outlets)
take a picture of the ellen tracy one. i really do love her accessories.
