Last night I started my class — the second of three courses in the editing certification program. Before class I was kind of nervous, but I ended up really liking my teacher, in fact better than the teacher last semester. She is more laid-back in her grading style, but more strict in attention to actual editing detail. The focus will be on book publishing, specifically textbook publishing — which seems very dry, but nothing could be worse than the hack writing I had to correct last term.
Also unlike last semester, when my class was 100% white women, this class actually has six men and one person of color! Exciting! Diversity!
In other news, my hair is getting really long. Just past my shoulders now. I refuse to cut it! YOU CAN’T MAKE ME. Unless you pay me a handsome sum.
I’ll give you ten bucks to cut your hair like Tank Girl.
Come on! Hamilton was a very handsome man.
