  • The Copyeditor’s Handbook
  • The Chicago Manual of Style (14th Ed.)
  • The Associated Press Style Manual and Briefing on Media Law
  • The Loom of Language
  • Modern American Usage
  • Roget’s A-Z Thesaurus (Hardbound)
  • Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (Hardbound)

    So check your spelling and grammar on those posts, kiddies. It’s a “thing” of mine. Being a word nerd and all.

    Today is starting off well. The sky is very grey and I am going to go for a two-mile walk shortly.

      I am so screwed! I spell like shit. My spelling is like that of Lenny in “Of Mice and Men”.

        Yeah but LJ has a spellcheck function! So you’ll be mostly safe. But watch out for homonyms.
