I like Fridays. Especially around, say, 5pm.
Last night I had a dream I was in my apartment and the power was out. So I was walking around in the darkness. I thought I was alone but then I smelled smoke and saw that a candle in the hallway had just been lit. So I got a bit spooked and ran downstairs to the street. Outside in the black night, I looked up at the sky. It was filled with dense swirls of glittering stars. I thought they looked like grains of rock salt. I remember feeling glorious and happy to be looking at the lights of the universe with the city’s glow completely gone.
Oh, by the way, if “anyone” was “wondering” what I do with all the magazines in my house that do or do not get read: I recycle them. In fact my roommate and I recycle obsessively. We also reuse objects like bags and boxes and glass jars. And we pet poor lost kittens and puppies and talk to our plants. Hopefully this will gain us special entry into the “kingdom” of “heaven.” You are welcome.
I am considering a news blackout or something. The evil and hypocrisy of our bloodthirsty government is becoming almost physically painful to hear about at this point. Sometimes I really, truly wish I didn’t live in this country and lived in a less warmongering nation, like Iceland or … well almost anywhere else is less warmongering, isn’t it? Though most other warmongering nations choose to slaughter thousands within their own borders; “we” would much rather kill people thousands of miles away and keep our hands nice and clean.
Not opening that can of worms. Or rather, closing it.
HEY! It’s another sunny, crisp day in the City. I have a date tonight. I haven’t seen my boy in like three days. OH THE HUMANITY.

It’s Dream Book day on LJ!
Despite the fact that I am a current events junkie, I totally understand the desire for a news blackout right about now. However, I have a sinking feeling things are about to happen that will mean we’ll hear the news whether we want to or not.
gazing longingly at Canadian border
yay! I can be in Canada in 1.5 hours by car!
Take me with you?
warmongering?
I just can’t believe the arrogance of your attitude. Don’t you realize that people have died in the past and are going to die in the future so you can have the freedom to make such idiotic statements. Your life must be such a charm (petting cats and recyling), but there are actually people fighting and suffering to protect your snooty little ass. Im proud of this country and it really chaps my ass when I hear you call it bloodthirsty. You need to learn a little about this country and understand all the good this country does around the world. We ended the small pox desease that almost devastated africa. We have spent billions of dollers to end aids in other countries. we went to the aid of kuwait when they were attacked by Sadam Husain. You need to quite buying into all the liberal bullshit and learn the TRUTH.
Re: warmongering?
You are quite hilariously uninformed. But sadly, your clumsy rhetoric represents what most people in this country happily regurgitate when they hear voices of dissent.
Anyway, I recommend getting a dictionary.
Re: warmongering?
Dude shut up we dont need a dicsionery to know the truth. Americans cured aids and the smalls pox and you jjsust sitt on your but ctiicizing. It is easy to critiiciise but not so easy to doo something about it like buy a flag sticker or tell tthe troops you support them or wear a Sadam Hisais Sucks t-shirt. If yuo werent such a lsave to toe liberal news medias you would no that.
Re: warmongering?
Well you have made an excellent and reasoned point there, Mr. “Ludickid,” whomever you may be. You have won me over to your side! GOD BLESS FOX NEWS! Now let’s go blow some shit up.
