I went to the gym tonight. It was a good workout. Then I went to Safeway and picked up the best easter candy of all, a box of Cadbury Creme Eggs. The original ones, none of this caramel or chocolate creme garbage. Mmmm. Toothache.
Brian and I went to the movies again today. We saw A Mighty Wind, and it was fabulous. I kept trying to figure out what was wrong with Eugene Levy’s character, and I think it was either some bad electroshock therapy, or bad acid.
More movie reviews!
Anger Management: C
The funniest parts of this movie did not involve its three lead characters. ‘Nuff said.
Bulletproof Monk: D
I was really expecting more from this movie. What was I thinking believing the SF Chronicle for one moment? Argh.
Better Luck Tomorrow: A
Probably the best film I have seen so far this year. Or close to the top anyway. Go see this if you can, very well-done.

i agree with you on all movie ratings except for bulletproof monk. The action, acting, direction and coreography give this movie an E- in my book because it was fucking retarded and i want to gouge out my eyes for having watched the whole thing.
That said, you did forget to give a review of ‘human nature’ (i think that’s what it was called)… this movie was excellent because in one scene a man who was raised as an ape humps a screen on which the image of a woman in panties is projected. in an attempt to curb his humping ways the doctor who is trying to teach him manners shocks him and the wildman keeps jumping up and humping the screen. A++ for wildman/inanimate object humping action.
>a man who was raised as an ape humps a screen on which the image of a woman in panties is projected.
That was pretty goddamned funny. Wasn’t that the picture of the woman’s naked ass? Ha.
Humping things is awesome.
Also I think I must somehow be blocking out how bad that Bulletproof Monk movie was. Don’t get me wrong, it sucked. But I have seen worse. Like the movie about arm-wrestling for child custody, for instance.
doooode! i am so pissed! a mighty wind is not coming this way!!!! the closest is sf. it’s not even coming to sac!!
bummer for me!
Maybe it will open on more screens over time? It has significant buzz … It’s only been out since Wednesday, so maybe in a week or so it will open wider.
I hope so for your sake because it is awesome.
i absolutely (sp?) love christopher guest… he’s the funniest…
come to think of it, i think you might be right because best in show came here…so did waiting for guffman…
funniest movies ever!
