Last night Brian gave me a call around 7 and asked if I would like to go bowling with he and some pals. Though I was in the middle of my fabulous dinner of giant artichoke and tofu sauce pasta, I readily agreed.

You know, once I had finished my dinner and cleaned up a little.

We went to the slightly skanktacular Presidio Bowling Center. Since it was league night, we spent some time drinking root beer and playing pinball and Crazy Taxi before we got our lanes. Just before nine, we were handed our awesome shoes and I picked out an eight-pound pink bowling ball which was attractively covered with nicks and scratches. I think a dog might have been chewing on it.

Two games were played. My cumulative score for both was a grand total of one hundred pins. Twenty-two in game one, seventy-eight in game two. I am proud to have improved by almost 400 percent.

You know what I’m really good at? Video bowling.
