The weather all weekend was perfect; clear skies, light breeze, temps in the high seventies. Just the way I like it. And perfect for a wedding. My friends Rena and Derek were married yesterday, and it was just a wonderful ceremony. The vows lasted for about fifteen emotional minutes, and following that were four hours of eating, drinking, and mingling. Brian and I had a great time, didn’t sunburn, and got to hang out with some fine people. It was great seeing these two very different families brought together, too.
It’s warm and bright again today and I want to go outside. The sun is reflecting brilliantly off of all the windshields just across the street in the parking lot. Mustn’t look directly at them.
I woke up last night because the milky light of the moon was shining right in my face. And my cat Simon had laid down next to my head and was wrapping his paws around my neck. Purring loudly. Love you, too, kitty.
Oh and in case I hadn’t mentioned this lately, my boyfriend is a superhero. The awesomest. A keeper! Thanks again for this weekend, baby.
