We finally heard from the apartment manager… apparently our excellent application is tied neck-and-neck with some other guy’s. The twist is that the identical unit next door is going to become available as well, they just learned. So the manager might be showing me this second unit tonight. I wonder if I should bring a check with me?

I am back to being excited again.

I think I will still go to the open house after work for another apartment, though. Why not?
