two things

July 29, 2003 by Jane

The word meaning “to be unexpectedly defeated,” originated in the summer of 1919 at a racetrack in New York. The greatest racehorse of all time lost his only contest that day.

Man O’ War’s only defeat in 21 starts was by a horse named: Upset. But Big Red won the next fourteen races he entered, one by 100 lengths. He was a giant, a freak. Like Lance Armstrong!

In other news, I am thinking of becoming a gossip columnist. I plan to make my name by making up a lot of stuff; that way I won’t have to actually meet any celebrities.

To avoid being sued, I’ll just put “For Entertainment Purposes Only” at the head of every column. You know, like they do for psychic hotlines.

If you had some shoe polish and padding you could be Miss Cleo II! Our since you are white you can go the gypsie route, kinda like the Cher song.
