Sorry it’s been awhile. Things have been pretty busy, and now it’s almost bedtime so I’ll have to make this a short one.
I am currently serving on a jury in a criminal case for the city of SF. I find it pretty goddamn fascinating. Actually, Leonard Pierce, I think you would find this sort of this pretty interesting too, I bet. Much deducing to do. We are now in deliberations, should be done tomorrow.
I finally finished my assignment for class tonight. It took two weeks… I worked on and off and probably put in about 8-10 hours on it, which is reasonable. Man, I cannot even explain how great it will be to not have any homework hanging over my head for a good long while.
Work has been busy, life has been busy. I have the awesomest boyfriend. The only times I get a twinge of worry about him is when I catch myself wondering how I got so incredibly lucky, and worry my luck will somehow run out. Then I remember not to be so superstitious alla time.
At Brian’s new apartment, we can hear the bands playing at the rock club next door. They finish around midnight, but then drunks stand around on the sidewalk outside gabbing for long periods of time, apparently with nothing better to do. I want to make water balloons for them.
Today I saw “Le Divorce” and bought adorable cream-colored leather slipper flats.
I have a new Eureka bagless upright vacuum cleaner and it sucks — in a good way.
It’s eleven o’clock and Brian is asleep on my bed with my cat Simon. They adore each other; it’s cute. Shhh, don’t tell them I said that.

I want to hear about this case, once you are allowed to talk about it. Or perhaps you could “talk about it” in a “theoretical” sense.
Man, I’m such a criminal justice nerd. School days, school days.
Does your employer pay you for jury service days?
I’ll spill as soon as there’s a verdict, which should be this afternoon.
Yes, my employer pays for two weeks of JD, and the city is paying me a sweet $17.50 /day.
