I got some samples from this skincare line in the mail today. Trying it out right now. Their whole line is based in virgin olive oil. It was weird to press a drop of pure olive oil onto my face, but I figured, why not. My skin is getting pretty sick of the harsh Tazorac, I think. Just keeps on peeling, especially on my chin. Anyone else heard of or tried DHC? I sure am sick of the acne.
I theorize that the chin dryness is partially due to the frequent proximity to someone else’s scruffy chin. But I certainly wouldn’t want to lose that.
Tonight I brought my new free weights home. Did 160 total reps with the 5lb weight while watching the A’s lose to the hated Angels. Then I ate some mac n’ cheese with hot dogs. Mmm comfort food. Then I did a few chores, some writing, and so on. I did not vacuum or hang up my clean shirts. That is all. I should head to sleepyland now.

Anyone else heard of or tried DHC?
Yes! I got samples of their Mild Soap, Deep Cleansing Oil, and “Olive Virgin Oil” with a DHC catalog. I was pretty skeptical about using oil since my T-zone is pretty oily to begin with, but when my samples ran out (after about ten days) the only word that accurately described my complexion was “glowing”. I hadn’t broken out at all, and the drier areas of my face were very soft.
My only gripe was with DHC’s prices. An ounce of the oil is something like $36.
THANK YOU KD! Awesome. I am going to run through my samples and see what happens. My skin is fucked right now, probably because of camping. I dunno. And yeah, my skin is naturally oily too, but also has dry patches. Argh.
I’m thinking of just buying the “travel set” which is $21. I hear they send good samples.
Or, just going to the Italian grocery near my house and buying the highest quality virgin cold-pressed olive oil they have, which will probably be like 12 ounces for $15.
look, you can’t blame simon for having a scruffy face – he’s a cat jane.
