Makes you real terrified for the future of America, doesn’t it? Well, it should. You should be horrified. You should be outraged, clamoring for this “president” to be impeached at once. Possibly even tried in international courts, like Milosevic.
But this ain’t gonna happen. Most Americans are wilfully ignorant, most get all of their news from television, and that is the absolute last place you’ll find balance or truth. Who owns TV news? The right wing, of course. Billionaires. “Liberal” media, my ass.
We’re doomed, y’all. The electorate are lemmings, marching to their doom.

Well, there’s at least three stats in there that should give you hope:
– 44%: Percentage of Americans who believe the President’s economic growth plan will mostly benefit the wealthy
– 90%: Percentage of American citizens who said they approved of the way George Bush was handling his job as president when asked on 26 September, 2001
– 53%: Percentage of American citizens who approved of the way Bush was handling his job as president when asked on 16 January, 2004
Those stats do give me hope, but unfortunately Bush and the newsmedia will be on full-tilt distortion/pandering/fearmongering mode for the next ten months. It’s gonna be the ugliest thing you ever saw.
I recently realized that the reason politicians go so very, very dirty in their campaigns is precisely to disgust voters and lower turnout. That’s why MY big thing in this campaign is going to be YOU HAVE TO VOTE, PEOPLE.
Well for the deomcratic caucus it appeared that voter turn out was up. So hopefully this is good trend.
Thanks for such a good link anyway. 🙂
