revolution ’04

February 9, 2004 by Jane

I really tried to rest this weekend, I think I did a good job, though Brian and I did kind of gallivant all over the city, again. But my cold seems to be abating. Seeeeeems to be. My nose is chapped.

Not to jinx it, but it seems like the country might actually be waking up to the fact that we “elected” a semi-retarded demon to the highest office in the land. People are FINALLY getting pissed. Bush will be overthrown only if the people are compelled to get out and vote and be active instead of apathetic. Bush will make his campaign about disgusting the voters to the point that they stay away from the polls.

Please don’t let that shithead do this. Please not only vote, but get others to vote. And as a friend suggested in her LJ today, please do not vote for a third party candidate. I know I know, a two-party system is lame. Heck, I voted for Gonzalez, and he almost won. But seriously. We need to get this fucker out, NOW. Not four years from now, after he’s bombed Syria, et al. He needs to be soundly, crushingly defeated.

I am probably going to give money to Kerry, in a few months when he is locked in.

In other news: OMG spring training starts in ten days!!!! Hee.

Breakfast today: a pumpkin muffin, coffee with halfnhalf.
Lunch: leftover chicken breast with mushroom gravy and rice, navel orange, water.
Snack: some plain almonds and walnuts. Mmmm.

God am I craving sugar like CRAZY right now. But I shan’t!
