the friday five

March 12, 2004 by Jane

I haven’t done this in awhile. I didn’t like this week’s though, so I picked last week’s.

What was…

1. …your first grade teacher’s name?
I went to Montessori school, we didn’t have “grades.” Though I do remember one of my teachers around that age was Mrs. Smith and she had long red hair and told us she was voting for Jon Anderson for President in 1980.

2. …your favorite Saturday morning cartoon?
That’s a hard choice, but I guess I most regularly watched The Smurfs and the Looney Toons/Warner Bros cartoons. They played them unedited back then. I learned a lot about the 1940s.

3. …the name of your very first best friend?
Jennifer Oleson. She lived around the block from me and we were best pals for about seven years.

4. …your favorite breakfast cereal?
My mom didn’t allow sugar cereals in the house, so I guess when I was a kid it was Kix and Rice Crispies. Mmm.

5. …your favorite thing to do after school?
Drawing, riding my bike, running around in the woods, watching cartoons, writing stories.

I think her name was Ms. Grant. She was young and I had a crush on her.

    2. …your favorite Saturday morning cartoon?
It was probably Dungeons and Dragons.

    3. …the name of your very first best friend?
I think it may have been Stewart Winchester in grade school. We hung out a bunch.

    4. …your favorite breakfast cereal?
Sugar with a little milk on top

    5. …your favorite thing to do after school?
Watch He-man, GI Joe, Transformers, Thundercats and Voltron
