So this weekend I went to try on wedding dresses with Tamara. It was fun and I think I found the dress I want, or at least it’s a frontrunner.

The point of this post: the price tag on this dress at the store was $900, a lot more than I budgeted for, so I was pretty hesitant.

I went home and went to a couple of discount dress sites, discount bridal service, and netbride. I emailed them requesting a quote.

DBS quoted me $626 for the same gown, and Netbride quoted me $584 for it. The exact dress, brand-new from the manufacturer. Only without all the store overhead thrown in. Sweet.

I feel disconnected from work today. There will be a lot to do here this week, plus at home I get to deal with packing, plus I get to deal with setting up utilities, painting, and so on. This week is going to suck.

But next week will be better. So much better.
