philimination

June 15, 2004 by Jane

I’m home. My lower back felt hot, like someone was holding an iron to it. So I’m about to ice it.

It was a quiet train ride home on the un-air-conditioned J. The woman next to me moved her lips as she read her book. The guy with Downs Syndrome whom I always see on this train got on, wearing his ski goggles and Chicago Cubs t-shirt. No I am not making that up, jwithington.

I considered stopping at Thrift Town to buy crappy bedsheets to use as drop cloths when we paint. But now I am thinking of instead buying a Sunday newspaper and papering the floors instead. This way I can cover more area and masking tape the paper down, too.

It’s so gorgeous outside. The weather this week is perfect. It figures that I have so much work to do with moving that I can’t really enjoy it. I’ll also miss the Library Book Sale this weekend, among other things. I love getting my flavorpill email every Tuesday.

Ok now to the couch to watch an episode of Oprah my roommate is taping. Why, you ask? Well the topic is apparently How to Become a Millionaire. That sounds cool. I wonder if “have your own syndicated tv empire” is one of the ways. Or “win ‘The Amazing Race.'” Which starts soon! Set your TiVos now, freaks.
