thick fog

July 19, 2004 by Jane

Weekend was awesome. Seriously.

1. The party went very well. Thanks to all my pals who came out to the foggy sunset to see us. Pablo and Lisa brought us a gorgeous plant. Rena gave me a very charming cookbook which I will try to use once we get a dining table and can have a proper dinner party. Nick V brought us British candy bars! Heh. It was swell and I even had drinkies: wine, mimosa, and a biiru. Whee! I also got a headache, oh well.

2. The next morning I got up early to walk with itsolivia in the AIDS Walk. It’s a 10k walk, or about six miles, all the way down through Golden Gate Park and back. Fortunately the weather was perfect (not too hot, not too cold), and so was the company. It was rad to hang out with Bjorn, whom I haven’t seen since last year at the David Sedaris show, and to meet his wife, too. It wasn’t that easy of a walk, but we finished it, and afterward Olivia and I went to get crepes.

3. Spent the rest of Sunday afternoon basically laying around, taking a hot bath, and doing my nails. Made some marinated chicken for dinner and we went to bed early.

It’s 8am, I should go soon. Stop at Arizmendi for one of their warm muffins.

Yeah I saw the highlight on ESPN later. What a disgrace. And I thought Herges was really good earlier this year! Choke!

I’m even sadder about Nen now. Maybe Eyre can close, or Walker, or Brower? I dunno.

Herges choked like two weeks ago too! UGH! so frustrating. ive seen him choke when hes come in to “save” Schmidt in like the 9th, then lose the game.
