Frittering the rest of the day away here at work, finally done with everything. Then off to back-killing City College for Japanese class where I will attempt to pass the first quiz.
Supershuttle is picking us up at 4:30 in the morning. Insanity. We’ll ride around in the van through the dark, picking up other travelers, until at last we are dropped at SFO to catch the 6:25AM flight to Chicago.
The next day, Brian’s friend is getting married in Kalamazoo. I am bringing one nice outfit on this trip, which I will wear three times. Aw yeah. Because the day after the (first) wedding, it’s off to Midland for the big engagement party and then a few days of hanging out with my future in-laws.
At the end of the week we’ll take a long and scenic drive to the northernmost tip of the state of Michigan, for wedding number two. We’ll spend two nights up there, and then head south along the western side of Lake Michigan to Milwaukee, to spend the night and visit Allison, finally. At last, the next day, a 90-minute or so drive to O’Hare, and home. I will probably be pretty sick of the clothes in my suitcase by then, which happens.
I promise to try not to eat too much crappy junk food on this trip! This is going to be a challenge, due to the whole roadtrip part.
I’ll be checking in from the trip, like I did from Tokyo. For people who want to contact me via email, my webmail for jane dot org is broken, so you can email me via janehex at gmail dot commmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmwah.

aww, man. i totally live in chicago, and i am also going to be driving thru michigan this weekend. and yet, i will probably not get to meet the wonder that is jane hex.
what day do you head home?
We fly home the afternoon of the 20th, but probably won’t get to spend any time at all in Chicago, which sucks because we both have friends there. Bleah. It’s ok, it will get its own trip.
I know you probably won’t, but do give me a shout if the two of you have time — I’ll buy you lunch or something. I think you have my #.
HAVE A BLAST!!!!
