weekend update

October 4, 2004 by Jane

1. We went swimming on Saturday. Sixteen laps, and some hot tub soaking. It was good. The pool is pretty quiet on weekends.

2. I transferred all my data and files from the iMac to the Powerbook, so the iMac is now ready to be shipped to its new owner. This is very awesome for all parties concerned. Just need to get my “new” software for the pbook (ms office and photoshop), which I will of course acquire in a 100% legal manner.

3. We purchased wedding bands and were very pleased with them. They arrive in four weeks and then must sit in a dark drawer where they will be pined for and dreamed of.

4. We got to have lunch with the Jansons. Their son Ian is terribly cute and charming, which is how he gets away with his innate inability to sit still for five seconds — being two and a half and all.

5. Taku arrived last night. He hardly spoke at all; I didn’t know if he was nervous about using English or if he was just tired. Or both. This week should be interesting.

6. I got to have dinner on Friday night with a bunch of fabulous interbunny friends, and a great time was had by all. Dennis of Seattle made mix CDs for everyone in honor of the bluegrass festival they were in town for, and so far I like the music. Played it on my ipod on the way to work this morning.

7. The Giants missed the playoffs by a single game and it made me sad. At least they crushed the Dodgers in the final game, and at least the Cardinals will completely humiliate L.A. in the first round. Gosh I hope that wasn’t a jinxy thing to say… No, I don’t think it was.

8. It’s getting colder so I get to wear my parka and warm clothes. I like that.

9. I still do not have a wedding gown, maybe I will pick one next weekend? Yeah. I will!

10. Okay time to go home.
