Brian just sent me a link to two maps which show a chilling trend. Or rather, non-trend.
One map shows U.S. states or territories where slavery was legal before the Civil War, and states where it was illegal.
The other map shows states that voted for Bush in the election and states that voted for Kerry.
The divisions are pretty much exactly the same. Free states for Kerry, slave states for Bush.
Disgusting, and yet, is anyone surprised?
