Just back from a big company party in the big lobby — I was invited for the fact that I have been here 5 years, though to be totally accurate it will be SEVEN years in July, holy mother of dog.

After a half hour of speeches and blah blah, everyone flooded into the reception area for tons of free food and booze. I am too full now, I imagine, even though I only nibbled at a few things (shrimp, cheese, grapes, roast beast, calamari, a cookie). Eating has probably been bad today: two pieces of toast for breakfast, a latte at noon, egg salad sammich at 1:30, etc. Really bad. Oh, then gorging on appetizers at 4:00.

Aggravating: Verizon FedExed my phone overnight — to my HOME address, which is not the address I gave for shipping. I had to call them and have them ask FedEx to re-route. Oh I better get it tomorry. Been having a lot of issues with couriers the past two weeks. Last week one of my packages UPS is handling was sent to Los Angeles instead of SF. And was delayed an extra four days thanks to that bungle. AND the address labels I ordered in December that were allegedly shipped on 1-6 simply never arrived, so I had to call those people and make them re-send. Now understanding how some brides become so exasperated.

But hey! Good news! My wedding gown has been delivered to the shop and I may now go in for my fitting. Next Wednesday will do, as long as Tamara and Ert can comply, as I really want them both to be there.

Now waiting for food to settle so I can go to the gym with Brian.
