time to update!

November 17, 2005 by Jane

I really need to get back on track with this. My three readers are probably wondering about me!

The easiest form of writing: a list.

1. I love goat cheese. It’s so perfect and lovely on a cracker, and maybe a drop of honey. Mmm.

2. I have had two cups of green tea tonight. It was necessary after sampling perfume earlier at Sephora. I like perfume okay, but after smelling a bunch at once, the stomach hurts.

3. I am not pregnant. OR AM I??????

4. I very much miss baseball. That’s what they made Tivo for! Well, part of what they made Tivo for.

5. Further proving the deepening anti-intellectual course of our “great” nation’s “culture”, FOX went ahead and cancelled one of the greatest comedies in the history of television. “Yes, Dear”, “Stacked,” and “According to Jim” remain on the air.

6. The good news is that you can get both seasons of “Arrested Development” on DVD at amazon.com for like $32.

7. I ordered a good turkey for thanksgiving. The free-range hormone-free kind. I think it will end up costing about $30. Well worth it. Or I could go get a frozen, saltwater-injected bowlingbird at Safeway for $6. nah.

8. This week it has been about 75 degrees every day in San Francisco. I am somewhat pleased with it, I guess, but I want to wear my cashmere turtleneck dammit. Meanwhile in Chicago, it is 25 degrees. But then again, I waded through garbage on the way to my train stop this morning for the 3,000th consecutive day, and Chicago is home to the world champions of baseball. So it’s a toss up.

9. I counted, and I own seven handbags. One of them has no photo on the internet. I bet it seems like I own more? Seven is a good number, so I am ready to stop there. I also realized that seven handbags is, to most women, a pretty small number. The hardcore bag addicts I know have at least 20. I’m not going there.

10. My mom gets here in a week, which means that while we aren’t at the movies this weekend, we’ll be cleaning the apartment.

Yay, hi karen. Maybe the cole haan bag is being auctioned on ebay right now? That’s a good place to find pics sometimes.

I am not really happy with anything at Coach right now. This is probably a good thing.

i checked ebay. its a no go. but i did just purchase my first ebay items last week. i was shocked at how easy it was. now i am worried. yesterday i just had to get sam a chrome skull trailer hitch cover with red LED brake light eyes.

anyhoo…what do you and brian think about ice skating with me someday soon? or just you even? who needs boys?! except when you want to skate double…

I am down with ice skating, except that I am very very bad at it and will fall on my ass. Would this be at the embarcadero?

What did you buy on ebay? Be very careful about getting any designer anything there — the listings are about 90% fakes. But when you find a real one (not hard to do, either) you are stoked.

yup, embarcadero!!! just let me know when you would be free and ill send sam for tickets.

i actually bought bibles. xmas presents for cousins and they are regularly $30 or so bucks. im not spending 60 bucks on bibles. and the hitch cover. i figured i would use it for things i would buy regularly…try to get a deal before i pay retail. i decided if i wanted to buy anything designer, i would ask you first 🙂 i did just sell a coach bag on craigs and was going to ask you what you thought a reasonable price was. ended up selling it for $60. I was asking $75 but didnt get it cleaned beforehand so i figured it was a wash.
