The rain kept waking me up last night. The storm continued nonstop until dawn. And then at mid-morning blew through some more, with sheets of water and wind. But as I sit here typing, the sky is blue. Fingers crossed for a clear night.
We are going out to a French restaurant. I plan to try new things. Excited to hear about Nick and Yuri’s Australian holiday. They plan to move there, perhaps around the same time as we emigrate to Chicagoland.
Not much to do this weekend, as the holidays have wound down. Mainly want to clean out the pantry and also sort my clothing into stuff to give away and stuff to sell. I am going through another phase where I hate all my clothes and feel like nothing fits me right. You would think that after working for an apparel company for over seven years I would have figured this crap out by now. But you would think wrong since nothing I do at that company has anything to do with clothing and everything to do with being a computer geek.
I’ll probably ebay some clothes, esp the ones I didn’t even wear. Selling clothes on ebay is a drag since you have to measure every piece of the garment instead of just saying “size small.” That’s to avoid the buyer bitching about it when they get it and wanting to return it.
Tonight after the show we’ll flee back to our neighborhood and either toast the new year here at our place in our luxury robes, or go up the hill with our friends if they’re up for it, though they may want to go wander the Castro if the skies are clear. We shall see.
I bought a great used handbag off of ebay and got a really good deal on it. I wish the seller had mentioned that it REEKS of cigarette smoke. Grrr. Right now I am letting it sit in a cloth bag with some baking soda. If that doesn’t work, Febreze. I’ve heard it can work miracles.
