It’s nice to ride home listening to Sufjan Stevens. What’s not as nice is arriving home and getting to hear my upstairs neighbor/bitch landlady playing her usual bad music at full volume. You would not believe how loudly I am listening to “My First Time Volume 3” right now.
Today I tried a new “soft drink” called Tab Energy. It comes in a cute little pink can with a cute pink design and even the liquid inside is pink. Oh gosh they spent so much money to redesign and relaunch the Tab brand! Shame they didn’t spend as much on the drink itself, because that was the most foul, disgusting carbonated swill I have ever tasted. I sat there trying to think of words to describe it, and the first thing that came out of my mouth was “medicine.” Like the nasty medicine you have to get at the pharmacy to kill your sinus infection or something.
Went to the gym this afternoon and they were giving out free fruit in the lobby. They appreciate me over there at the YMCA. I worked out for forty minutes on the elliptical. I am trying to build up to an hour in 5 minute increments every week.
Weird thing about my gym: lately there has been a rash of women losing their diamond rings in the locker room. I swear at one point there were three different signs posted about lost rings. Hey I have an idea, ladies. It’s called “Never take off your ring, especially at the gym.” Tamara taught me that rule shortly after I was engaged and we were out shopping and trying on clothes. I was going to take off my ring to try on a sweater that might snag, and she instructed me to simply turn the stone around to face my palm, and moreover, never take off my ring unless it’s about to go directly into a jewelry box.
I like the weekend.
Hey, tell my girlfriend about the ring thing! Pleeeease? heheh
uh oh. did she learn the hard way?
Poor dear has learned three times.. :/
