I just got tickets to an 826 Valencia benefit Monday night here in SF. Featured performers will include Dave Eggers, Patton Oswalt, Aimee Mann, Mark Kozelek, Sarah Vowell, and Zach from Rogue Wave. An all-star lineup! I’m actually pretty excited.
I went to the gym today. The end of my little workout was accompanied by a fourteen-minute Unwound opus, beginning with “Valentine Card,” ending with “Were Are And Was or Is”. Magnificent, and even more so when one considers how very, very young they were when those songs were written.
Okay it’s time for more coffee.
And then some more writing. You know what’s fun? Writing about a character whose personality does a 180 during the course of the story. And by “fun,” I mean “insane”.

Oh Karen! I wish you could come… Hey, we have a pretty nifty camera, I could make couple little quicktime shorts, if I can get close enough. I hope Mark does some RHP songs, not so much with the Sun Kil Moon, frankly.
just a couple of nights ago i was listening to “…blue guitar” on the boat. it was loverly. but on the soundtrack of my life, si paloma (SKM) would be in the top 10
I will give it a re-listen. I guess RHP is just more meaningful somehow to me, if you know what I mean.
I saw Mark at the 1000 Van Ness theater one time, passing me on the opposite escalator. I gave him that, “I know yooooo” look, heheh.

but yeah, that song is so beautiful, it’s one of those that i listen to over and over again…
what a line up! any smuggled entertainment would be appreciated!
