Finally, a summery day here in SF. Just in time for September, so, right on schedule.

Tomorrow I will be away from my desk all day. We have this two-hour business meeting (zzz) in the morning, then all afternoon my coworkers and I will be at our (mandatory) volunteer session at Aquatic Park. This is what I get for working for such a philanthropic company. Actually I am looking forward to being outdoors for half of the day. Plus: free lunch!

My trench coat won’t be ready until September 9th or 10th. It seems so far away! Wah.

Since Brian is buying me a fancy coat, I feel compelled to get him something nice in return. I want to buy him shoes (he loves new sneaks) but shoes are so personal. I guess I could save the receipt and stuff. And yeah, he is usually too busy to read my blog every day, so there’s a fairly good chance this won’t spoil the surprise. And if it does, he doesn’t know what KIND of shoes, right? Surprise!

What’s for dinner tonight… I do not feel like cooking, so I may walk up to my favorite local restaurant, Yumma’s, and get the falafel plate or something. I can’t believe the fog hasn’t blown in yet.

i recently purchased some puma 5000m trainers. i’ve developed a fondness for they stylings, and would recommend them to fans of footwear everywhere.

to clarify, this was my second pair of the 5000ms. The only downside is that the spiky bottoms don’t last forever.

Do they breathe well? Brian’s complaint about his latest pair of skate shoes is that they make his feet sweat. Probably the man-made materials in the uppers. Or somethin. Anyway I will go look for these on zappos… Thanks Josh!!

most of the body of the shoe is mesh, which gives them a high breathability rating in my book.

Brian tried some on yesterday, I really liked them, but he thought they were way too narrow for his feet. Oh well, thanks anyway man.

yeah. Fit be damned — I just go a half size bigger in the name of foot fashion.

Do you need a dude sneaker consultation with Jesse???

I don’t know… maybe Brian does! We looked at shoes together today and came up empty. He just wants an everyday casual shoe that is not light-colored and doesn’t look like a gym shoe. I think he needs Pumas, personally.
