I have a sore throat. Not sure why, no other symptoms. Either I am getting sick or I was doing too much singing in the car on the way home yesterday.

The drive back was gorgeous. A few light showers, otherwise sunny skies dotted with layers of clouds and intermittent rainbows. Lake County is very pretty and completely overshadowed by its neighbor to the south, Napa. If you tire of the ripoff tasting rooms and over-touristed towns in Napa, I recommend heading just north. We had some very nice wine while we were there, and I can even recommend a fantastic bed and breakfast inn, with the best hosts and the best homemade food in the whole darn county.

Today at work was kind of blah, on top of the sore throat. Want to still be on holiday. I didn’t step outside once, I think it rained all day. Good thing my purse is weatherproof. I am probably about to get a bit damp.
