bakeatato

March 18, 2007 by Jane

Last night we celebrated St Patricks Day by making baked potatoes. They were so glorious.

Recipe:

1. rinse and clean big brown Idaho spuds
2. boil in salty water for about 10 minutes, preheat oven to 400F
3. bake in oven for one hour — do not wrap in foil
4. let cool for 5 minutes
5. consume perfect potato, crispy skin and fluffy center, with butter or what-have-you garnishments

Today I got up and fed the kitties, ate some cereal, and then walked 2.66 miles to the coffee store and back.

The sun is trying to come out, I am listening to the Giants game that just started.

And, back to writing.

You may have inspired tonight’s meal with this post, perhaps a sorta baked potato -make your own- fun for the kids to be involved thing… I am thinking up all sorts of toppings to offer them now… And remembering that I should make some coffee.
