Some time back in 1993, I went thrifting in Shelton, WA. For $30, I purchased a glossy black Royal manual typewriter, circa 1935. It came with a box hard case. Quite a bargain — these machines now sell for as much as $400. Crazy world. I love this thing. I took it out tonight to snap some pics, inspired by Marly’s birthday post (she just scored a Hermes 3000 portable for a similar bargain price).
