driftwood

December 14, 2007 by Jane

Today we took a drive up to the northern edge of the Olympic Peninsula. It was cloudy and foggy, so we couldn’t see too much beyond the choppy waves that filled the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Had it been clear, we would have been able to see Victoria! Ah well.

We visited the Dungeness National Wildlife Preserve, and while walking through the woods toward the beach, came across four deer in the path. They weren’t too timid, but weren’t tame either. It was impossible to photograph them; we couldn’t get too close and the woods have a tendency to be dim no matter what.

Anyway, I did take lots of other pictures.
