whole foods

April 14, 2008 by Jane

This blogger is going to lose weight eating real food only. Nothing processed or canned or packaged frozen meals or etc. Something to aspire to, certainly. I think we do a good job of that. Our freezer contains a tub of peach sorbet, some whole wheat waffles, and um… tater tots. And ice cubes.

The Farmers Market in my town finally reopened this past Saturday. I plan to make it a regular weekend trip.

Though I’ll have no need to buy any $5/lb tomatoes. I now have nine healthy tomato sprouts. I am going to have so much lovely fresh fruit for free this summer.

That’s more food than my entire fridge has in it.

I have mandarin orange sherbet in my freezer. And maybe a bag of frozen veggies that is about seven months old.

I’m doing it, and it’s working. Every morning, thermos oatmeal, none of that instant stuff. Lunch, light salad. Dinner, real food in a decent quantity. Nothing is off, just portion control… and real food. The lady said it looked like I had lost weight in the last week, and it was before I mentioned I was even trying! whoo!
