Kona and the dream of horses »

wild

October 21, 2008 by Jane

Saw a coyote on our way home from the bus stop tonight. It ran across the road in front of the car, a safe distance away. In the dusky light at first I thought it was a dog, but the size and coloring, and even its gait, gave it away. It trotted off into the middle school parking lot. This was about three blocks from the house.

Kona may have picked up its scent about 30 minutes earlier while playing outside with Brian. She just started whining and glancing around for no apparent reason. Brian thought she was cold and put her jacket on her. Her new coat is so cute, btw. It’s pink, with reflective trim and a gray fleece lining. She looks so smart in it.

My neck really hurts. I guess I turned it funny yesterday. Could not get comfortable in bed last night. I’m going to go lay on a heating pad, but first must wash dishes and clean mud off sneakers. Yr welcome.

yeah… the three reasons our cats don’t go outside: cars, coyotes, and other cats.
