week 19

May 18, 2009 by Jane

Baby kicked me for a good solid hour this morning, just after I got to work. It needs its exercise, must continue developing wee muscles and joints. It’s still so small that the kicks are just little bursting bubbles, and I don’t know yet that someone else’s hand could feel them.

Tonight I need to unpack and catch up on housework that was undone during my trip. It’ll be another no TV night. One thing I truly loved about my stay at Rena and Derek’s is that they do not own a television. So what to do? Conversation, reading, cooking, listening to music, and going out, of course. I found that I didn’t miss it.

I’m eating my overpriced Whole Foods lunch — sweet and sour tofu, coconut rice, random fruit and vegetables from salad bar. Mmmm. Need to start bringing lunch again this week, but a big grocery trip is needed first.

Speaking of food, the hot weekend brought more flowers to our garden, plus my French radishes are ready to pick! I ate one last night, it was so perfect. My cucumbers on the other hand, look wilted. Maybe dehydrated. Help.

I have a doctor appt tomorrow. I expect to be weighed again oh boy, possibly a belly measurement, and my fave of course, that happy little heartbeat sound.
