seasonal transition

September 17, 2013 by Jane

Too cold and wet for sandals, not yet cold enough for sweaters or scarves.

We have been working on cleaning out our messy garage these past couple of weeks and it’s nearly done. A pretty large collection of bags, boxes, and misc will be picked up today by a donation truck, and then hopefully this week or Saturday, the remaining pile of junk will be hauled to the dump. Our car will have a nice warm dry spot to park again, and there won’t be any more places in the garage for little mice to make nests (we’ve already trapped three, and I think that was all of them).

For those wondering, yes, the kitchen remodel is done. Well, it is 95% done. We still need a tile back splash, and because the contractor messed up a switch, our garbage disposal no longer works. Grrr. So he still has to fix that before we put rather permanent tile over the walls. I am annoyed by this to say the least. Should I just hire another electrician and then send the original contractor the bill? Anyone have Mike Holmes’ number?

maybe threaten a “Yelp” review and see if that gets some action.
